Welcome to our beautiful farm, nestled in the hills of central Massachusetts. Here we raise our family and serve our community.
Over the past 10 years we’ve raised chickens, turkeys, geese, pigs, sheep, and goats. And we’ve been the seasonal home of herds of cattle from other farms. We grow heirloom vegetables and herbs in our market garden.
We teach permaculture, herbal medicine, and a host of traditional skills with the help of other local teachers. Our goal is to help others to live healthy and fulfilling lives, free of the constraints and pressures of modern society.
We work for environmental and social justice through our outreach activities, and our educational programs. Our community consists of those we serve through our CSA/Farmstand and our educational and community programs, those who support our work with their prayers and financial contributions or through their custom in our online shop, and of those who seek a deeper connection to our mission by living and working here on the farm with us.

Salt & Light Natural Wellness
Owner: Kelly Bisciotti, ND, MH
Kelly Bisciotti comes from a long line of naturally minded women. Her Great-Grandmother was born in 1902 in a one room, dirt floor house in western New York state. Back then, things like electricity and cars were not part of country farming community life and access to modern medical care was difficult. Out of necessity, many turned to herbs and other natural remedies, passed down through the generations. This self sufficiency was passed on to Kelly's Grandma, who passed it on to her Mother, who passed it on to her. The natural ways have become a legacy that she has embraced. This passion is what led to the creation of Salt & Light Natural Wellness, in 2017. A strong desire to pass on the knowledge and availability of medicinal plants is the basis of every blog post and wellness consultation, with a focus on each individual as a whole - body, mind, and soul.

The Wise Woman Tradition is the oldest tradition of healing, often invisible and nearly forgotten in todays’ world of fast everything. The Wise Woman Way nourishes: Food is medicine. It is often quiet and gentle. Dis-ease becomes a doorway for transformation. The herbs are simples: Single herbs that replenish our body’s innate ability to heal itself. The Wise Woman Tradition is returning the Art of Herbal Healing to “We the People”.
I offer classes at my farm or your home; Edible and medicinal weed walks, cooking classes, create your own herbals. I create Tinctures, Ointments, infused honeys and teas.
All of my work is offered with conscious loving attention and in the Spirit of Reciprocity. From my heart and hands to yours.

She believes that intimacy with and reliance upon the local ecosystem is a necessary component of any environmentally sustainable culture. Sweet Flag Herbs seeks to facilitate rich relationships with wild and cultivated plants, as well as others in our community and ourselves.
In Sarah's classes, she discusses sustainable wild-harvesting and growing methods.
